Lorna is insured, ofsted registered and holds relevant first aid, DBS, childcare and youth based certificates, for parents to view for that additional peace of mind.

Lorna has several years of experience from various roles within the childcare, early years and youth work sectors. She has worked in nurseries and early years settings across the town, as well as a variety of youth programmes and is very passionate when it comes to the care & wellbeing of children within the local community. She strives to provide the best service possible for the families she works with. She has an extensive background of  working with children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers and holds a variety of SEN & childcare certificates demonstrating her skills & knowledge. She has also provided 1:1 tutoring sessions for children with additional needs and behavioural difficulties with great patience & an  understanding of the child's needs. 

 

 

 

Alongside these roles, Lorna has spent the last 12 years working for the local authority within playschemes for children aged between 5-14, as a playworker & later progressing to a role as play and wellbeing co- ordinator. Following this, she moved on to become a Coach assistant for SFCF, where you can now find her assisting with the delivery of the Fit,Fed,Read holiday camps based in Stevenage during the school holidays. Lorna is very passionate about the work she does and finds her roles enjoyable and rewarding.

 

 

Lorna continues to develop her existing skills & knowledge by regularly taking part in a variety of training courses adding to her growing CPD record.
